“R Madhavan Opens Up About Aamir Khan’s Wallet-Free Habit and His Own Approach to Finances”

Actor R Madhavan recently shared his thoughts on his 3 Idiots co-star Aamir Khan’s famous habit of traveling without a wallet, offering a contrast to his own approach to money management. Speaking in a candid conversation with Just Too Filmy, Madhavan humorously acknowledged Aamir’s unique lifestyle but made it clear that he doesn’t adopt the same extreme habits.

Aamir Khan, who has often been seen traveling without carrying a wallet, believes that his stardom allows him the luxury of moving freely without worrying about everyday expenses. Madhavan, on the other hand, chuckled at the idea, saying, “I am never that extreme. Aamir’s stardom allows him to be like that. Whatever he requires, he has people to pay for it. Of course, he would pay them… and it isn’t like he doesn’t pay for it.”

Madhavan explained that his personality is different, and while he enjoys his independence, he is also careful about his spending. “I prefer walking alone. I want that freedom, and the ability to interact with people,” said the actor. Despite not being overly frugal, Madhavan emphasized that he always lives within his means, saying that if he desired something beyond his budget—like a luxury car—he wouldn’t indulge in it. “I don’t have worldly possessions, and that is the reflection of my stardom,” he added.

Madhavan also opened up about his relationship with his wife, Sarita, who often jokes about his generous nature. While Madhavan insists he is particular about his finances, Sarita finds him “generous to a fault.” He remarked with a smile, “I spend what I have.”

R Madhavan’s Latest Projects

R Madhavan’s recent projects are keeping him busy with notable roles. He is currently starring in Hisaab Barabar, a satirical thriller that premiered on Zee5 on January 24. In the film, Madhavan plays an honest ticket checker working for Indian Railways, who uncovers a massive financial fraud led by a banker, portrayed by Neil Nitin Mukesh. Alongside Madhavan, the film features an ensemble cast including Kirti Kulhari, Rashami Desai, and Faisal Rashid.

Looking ahead, Madhavan is also set to star in an upcoming untitled biopic of C. Sankaran Nair, directed by Karan Singh Tyagi. The film, which is produced by Dharma Productions, will see Madhavan sharing the screen with Akshay Kumar and Ananya Panday. Based on the book The Case That Shook the Empire, the film delves into a pivotal legal case that shook British rule in India.

As Madhavan continues to balance his professional commitments with his grounded approach to life, his candid comments on his co-star Aamir Khan’s wallet-free habits provide a refreshing perspective on personal finance and lifestyle choices.
