“Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’ Nears ₹644 Crores, Set to Surpass ‘Baahubali’ Record at Box Office”

Prabhas' "Salaar" Nears ₹644 Crores Worldwide, Poised to Break Baahubali's Record

Prabhas, the renowned Telugu superstar, is on the brink of surpassing his own box office record as his latest action-packed venture, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,” continues its triumphant run at the global box office. On its 11th day of release, the film has amassed a colossal ₹644 crore, edging close to toppling the worldwide collection of Prabhas’ iconic blockbuster “Baahubali: The Beginning.”

The Prashanth Neel-directed thriller, “Salaar,” stormed into the ₹600 crore club a day prior, swiftly escalating to ₹644.80 crore in worldwide collections. The film amassed ₹12.60 crore in the Hindi market on its eleventh day, propelling its domestic earnings to ₹495.30 crore, while the overseas collection surged to ₹149.50 crore.

This incredible surge has positioned “Salaar” on the cusp of eclipsing Prabhas’ second-highest-grossing film, SS Rajamouli’s 2015 magnum opus “Baahubali: The Beginning,” which stands at a cumulative ₹650 crore globally. Prabhas’ record-breaking top earner remains “Baahubali 2: The Conclusion” (2017) with an astonishing ₹1788 crore.

Expressing gratitude towards his fans, Prabhas extended New Year wishes and acknowledged their unwavering support for “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.” On Instagram, the actor shared his gratitude, stating, “Thank you for owning #SalaarCeaseFire and making it a big success.”

The film, set against the backdrop of the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, traces the bond between Deva (Prabhas), a tribesman, and Varadha (Prithviraj Sukumaran), the prince of Khansaar. With a stellar ensemble cast including Shruti Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, and Sriya Reddy, “Salaar” was released in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi on December 22, where it encountered a box office clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki.”

“Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” continues to captivate audiences globally, cementing Prabhas’ position as a box office powerhouse, promising a record-breaking trajectory in the coming days.
