South Indian superstar Prabhas marked his birthday with a special treat for his fans by unveiling the motion poster of his upcoming film The Raja Saab. The poster, released on October 23, showcases Prabhas in a royal avatar, seated on a grand throne. Dressed in a black kurta-pyjama paired with a blue velvet shrug, Prabhas sports a stylish salt-and-pepper look, complete with a cigar. The tagline on the motion poster, “Horror is the new humour,” hints that the film will be a unique blend of horror and comedy.
The makers of The Raja Saab shared the motion poster on X (formerly known as Twitter) with the caption, “Royal by blood… Rebel by choice… Claiming what was always his! Motion Poster out now.” The intriguing poster has left fans excited for what’s to come in the film.
Earlier in July, the teaser of The Raja Saab offered fans a glimpse of Prabhas in a new avatar. In the teaser, Prabhas was seen in a colourful lungi and black shirt, a stark contrast to his royal look in the motion poster. One notable moment from the teaser shows him checking his reflection in a car’s side mirror and later making a grand entrance on a bike, holding a bouquet of flowers. The teaser was further elevated by Thaman S’s engaging background score, which combined elements of romance and horror, setting the tone for the film.
Director Maruthi Dasari expressed his excitement about working with Prabhas, describing The Raja Saab as one of his most ambitious projects. “Collaborating with Prabhas and People Media Factory is both an honour and exciting for me as a filmmaker. We are geared up to offer our audiences a grand horror experience. Having Prabhas on board is particularly special as his electrifying screen presence infused with our horror narrative is sure to leave audiences amazed,” he said.
The Raja Saab features an ensemble cast, including Malavika Mohanan, Nidhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Anupam Kher, Murali Sharma, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Jisshu Sengupta, Brahmanandam, and Yogi Babu. The film is being produced by People Media Factory and is set to release on April 10, 2025.
