The latest family drama “Hi Nanna,” starring Nani and Mrunal Thakur in pivotal roles, has made significant strides at the box office within its initial days of release, garnering notable figures both in India and the United States.
After its release on December 7, “Hi Nanna” witnessed a commendable start at the Indian box office, collecting ₹4.9 crore nett across all languages on its opening day. The film continued its successful run, accruing an additional ₹4 crore nett on the second day, as per preliminary estimates reported by Sacnilk.com. These numbers contributed to a cumulative domestic collection of ₹8.9 crore nett across all languages.
The movie, directed by Shouryuv and featuring Mrunal Thakur alongside Nani, showcases a heartfelt narrative revolving around a single father, portrayed by Nani, caring for his 6-year-old daughter, played by Kiara Khanna. The film delves into the transformative impact on their lives upon the entry of Mrunal Thakur’s character.
While the Indian box office numbers reflect a positive trajectory, “Hi Nanna” has also marked its presence in the US market, grossing over $650K. Prathyangira Cinemas, one of the film’s US distributors, expressed the film’s success in a tweet, celebrating the impressive earnings in the US box office.
