Billionaire Mukesh Ambani, accompanied by his son Anant Ambani, attended the Lalbaugcha Raja temple in Mumbai on Saturday to participate in the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities. The visit, part of the Ambani family’s annual celebration, saw Mukesh Ambani patiently waiting for his daughters-in-law, Shloka Mehta and Radhika Merchant, before starting the Aarti.
A Memorable Temple Visit
A video shared on Instagram by HT Lifestyle captures the moment Mukesh Ambani inquired about the arrival of Shloka and Radhika, asking his son in Hindi, “Shloka-Radhika aaye kya?” (Has Shloka and Radhika arrived?). Anant promptly responded, “They are coming.” The video highlights the family’s devotion and the warm, familial atmosphere of their temple visit.
Earlier, the Ambani family, including Mukesh Ambani, Anant, Radhika Merchant, and Shloka Mehta, visited Lalbaugcha Raja amidst heavy security. Despite the stringent measures, the family interacted with the crowd and engaged in conversations, with Mukesh Ambani seen chatting with his daughters-in-law. Notably, Reliance Foundation chairperson Nita Ambani was absent from this visit.
Ganesh Visarjan at Antilia
On Sunday night, the Ambanis conducted the immersion ceremony (visarjan) of their Ganpati idol at Chowpatty Beach. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant were spotted dancing joyfully in traditional attire, accompanied by drums. The family, including Nita Ambani, Anant, and Radhika, traveled from their residence, Antilia, to the immersion site on a truck, joined by celebrity friends such as Orry and Shanaya Kapoor.
A Grand Celebration
Earlier in the week, the Ambanis hosted a lavish Ganesh Chaturthi celebration at their Mumbai home, Antilia. The event, which was attended by Bollywood stars and the extended Ambani family, marked the first major festival for the Ambani family since Anant and Radhika’s wedding in July. The Ganpati idol at Antilia, affectionately known as “Antilia cha Raja (King of Antilia),” remains a central figure in their annual celebrations, reflecting the family’s deep reverence for Lord Ganesh.
