Mr and Mrs Mahi Box Office Collection Day 2: Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor Film Earns ₹11.25 Crore in India

Mr and Mrs Mahi box office collection day 2: The romantic drama starring Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor has crossed the ₹10 crore mark within two days of its release. Directed by Sharan Sharma and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, the film has garnered significant attention from audiences across India.

On its opening day, Mr and Mrs Mahi earned ₹6.75 crore. However, there was a slight dip in its earnings on the second day, collecting ₹4.50 crore. As per early estimates from, the film’s total earnings now stand at ₹11.25 crore. The film had an overall 20.13% Hindi occupancy on Saturday.

The Hindustan Times review of Mr and Mrs Mahi provided a mixed response. The review highlighted Janhvi Kapoor’s performance as somewhat one-dimensional, although her scenes with Rajkummar Rao were praised for their chemistry. The review noted, “Janhvi looks very one-dimensional throughout the film. If anything, it’s her scenes with Rajkummar that lift her performance. Together as a pair, the two had a refreshing chemistry, and I wish the director played on that bit a little more.”

The film’s storyline, focusing on a romantic and ambitious sports narrative, was critiqued for lacking a superlative script or wow moments. The review added, “Mr and Mrs Mahi is a one-time watch for its earnest performances, but the film is devoid of a superlative script or wow moments. It’s an ambitious sports film that tries to make a point, but sadly misses the shot. I wish at least in the title, Mrs came before Mr and we could have then celebrated women in cricket a little more.”

Mr and Mrs Mahi stars Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles, supported by Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, and Zarina Wahab. The film’s trailer revealed that Rajkummar’s character’s dream of joining the national cricket team is shattered, leading him to coach Janhvi’s character after discovering her cricketing talent.

This film marks the second collaboration between Janhvi Kapoor and director Sharan Sharma, as well as Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, who previously worked together in Roohi.
