Post-eviction, Malik shared her shock and emotional response to Payal Malik’s surprising announcement about her marriage.
During an interaction with the media outside the Bigg Boss house, Kritika Malik spoke about her reaction to Payal’s statement that she would be divorcing her husband, Armaan Malik. Kritika revealed that the news was particularly jarring given her 40-day isolation within the house. “I did not believe Payal’s statement because I was inside the Bigg Boss house for 40 days and all of a sudden, when someone tells you this piece of information about Payal announcing her divorce… it was so shocking to me that it led to my breakdown for two days. I was emotionally down, and was trying to figure out things by myself,” Kritika said in Hindi.
Kritika continued, explaining her need to process the news: “I was trying to make my heart realize that this might be true or even false. I wanted to come out and talk to Payal directly. So when I came out of the Bigg Boss house, the first thing I did was to ask Payal on the stage at the finale if she was okay and she said yes. That’s all. The dramatic revelation occurred last month, shortly after Payal Malik’s elimination from Bigg Boss OTT 3. In a vlog, Payal had announced her intention to divorce Armaan Malik, stating her decision to end their polygamous relationship. This announcement was followed by a clarification where Payal stated she would not be proceeding with the divorce after all.
During the show, Payal had even apologized to Kritika for the distress her statements had caused, attributing her emotional turmoil to the media scrutiny surrounding her relationship.
