Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of actor Shilpa Shetty, took to his social media account on X (formerly Twitter) to post a cryptic message hinting at a ‘separation.’ In the tweet, he stated, “We have separated and kindly request you to give us time during this difficult period.” While many internet users speculated about the status of his relationship with Shilpa Shetty, some questioned if it was a promotional stunt for his upcoming projects. In a subsequent post, Raj clarified that he was separating from the masks he had been wearing during the pandemic, expressing gratitude for their protection.
This announcement comes on the heels of Raj Kundra unveiling the trailer of his debut film, “UT69,” in which he plays the lead role. The film is based on his experiences during his incarceration in an alleged pornography-related case in 2021. Raj Kundra’s legal troubles and subsequent release on bail garnered significant attention. He has consistently maintained his innocence and is set to share his side of the story through his upcoming film.
“UT69” is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 3, and Raj Kundra’s entry into the world of acting has generated curiosity and mixed reactions. He recently shared Shilpa Shetty’s response to his film idea, recounting that she initially found it ‘dicey.’ However, she ultimately supported his endeavor, inquiring if he could handle acting and drawing a humorous reference to his jail experience.
Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty have been married since 2009 and are parents to two children, Viaan and Samisha.
