Sean “Diddy” Combs, renowned rapper and music mogul, faces yet another lawsuit, this time from former model Crystal McKinney, who accuses him of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2003. This lawsuit marks the sixth legal action against Combs since his ex-girlfriend, Casandra Ventura, known as Cassie, accused him of rape and abuse in November last year.
According to a report by the New York Times, McKinney alleges that the assault occurred at Combs’ New York City studio. She claims that she met Combs during Men’s Fashion Week, where he invited her to his studio. At the time, Combs was a prominent record label executive and host of the MTV reality show ‘Making the Band’.
In her lawsuit, McKinney states that she was given alcohol and marijuana, which she later believed to be laced. She alleges that Combs then forced her to go to the bathroom, where he sexually assaulted her. McKinney claims she lost consciousness and later woke up in a taxi, realizing she had been assaulted.
Combs’ representatives have not yet commented on the lawsuit.
This new lawsuit adds to the mounting legal troubles for Combs, who has vehemently denied all allegations against him. In March, two of his homes were raided as part of an investigation that officials stated is partly focused on human trafficking.
Combs has dismissed the accusations as false and “sickening,” suggesting that the complainants are seeking “a quick payday.” However, McKinney said that learning about the other lawsuits against Combs motivated her to file her own complaint.
Adding to the controversy, a video recently surfaced showing Combs physically assaulting Cassie in 2016. The footage, published by CNN, shows Combs kicking and dragging Cassie, who was attempting to enter an elevator. In the video, Combs, clad only in a towel, grabs Cassie by the neck, throws her to the ground, and kicks her multiple times before dragging her away.
