Bollywood actress Esha Deol has finally addressed the long-standing dating rumours involving her and superstar Ajay Devgn. In a recent interview, Esha called the speculation “weird” and clarified that their relationship is built on mutual respect, love, and admiration.
Esha’s Response to the Dating Rumours
During a conversation with Quint, Esha Deol was asked about the strangest rumour she had encountered in her career. Recalling the early years of her journey in Bollywood, she said, “I was linked to a lot of my co-stars back then. Some may be true, but many are not. They were even trying to link me up with Ajay Devgn. I share a very beautiful and different bond with Ajay. It is filled with respect, love, and admiration for each other. That was so weird.”
Esha also speculated on the possible reason behind such gossip, explaining that the rumours surfaced because they worked on multiple films together. “There were a lot of stories cooked up. Maybe because we were doing a lot of films together at that time,” she said.
Esha and Ajay’s On-Screen Collaborations
Esha Deol and Ajay Devgn have shared screen space in several films, including Yuva, LOC: Kargil, Cash, Main Aisa Hi Hoon, Insan, and Kaal. More recently, they worked together in the 2022 psychological thriller web series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, which is a remake of the British show Luther starring Idris Elba. Esha Deol is all set to make her theatrical comeback with Tumko Meri Kasam after a 14-year hiatus. The Vikram Bhatt-directed movie is loosely inspired by the life of Ajay Murdia, the founder of Indira IVF, a well-known fertility clinic chain in India. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Adah Sharma, and Ishwak Singh and is set to premiere on March 21.
