Jagdeep Sidhu’s latest directorial venture, “Jatt and Juliet 3,” starring Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa, has stormed into the Punjabi film industry with impressive numbers on its opening day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the romantic comedy has grossed ₹3.5 crore nett in India, marking it as the second highest opening day collection for a Punjabi film, following “Carry on Jatta 3” at ₹5.20 crore.
Released amid positive reviews, “Jatt and Juliet 3” has also garnered attention globally, accumulating a worldwide collection of ₹8.15 crore on its debut day. Overseas, the film earned ₹4 crore, with the remaining ₹4.15 crore from domestic box office collections.
The film enjoyed a steady run despite facing competition from other releases, including the mega-budget project “Kalki 2898 AD.” Initial reports indicate an overall Punjabi occupancy rate of 46.43% on day one, with significant footfalls in key cities like Chandigarh, Jalandhar, and Ludhiana.
“Jatt and Juliet 3” reunites Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa in lead roles, portraying police officers entangled in a romantic and comedic narrative. The movie introduces new elements to the franchise after a 12-year gap, promising audiences a blend of romance, humor, and emotional depth. Supporting cast members include Nasir Chinyoti, BN Sharma, Rana Ranbir, and Elena Skryabina, with screenplay by Jagdeep Sidhu.
The success of the film underscores its appeal not only in domestic markets but also among international audiences, reaffirming Dosanjh and Bajwa’s popularity in the Punjabi cinema landscape.
