Theilvig, 20, has been passionate about pageantry since a young age, dreaming of becoming a beauty queen by the age of five. Her journey to the top began at 17 when she entered the Miss Denmark competition and secured the second runner-up position. She further honed her skills and gained international recognition by representing Denmark at Miss Grand International 2022, where she made it to the Top 20. In September 2024, she was crowned Miss Universe Denmark, securing her spot in the global competition.
In her victory speech, Theilvig shared her vision to inspire and empower women across the world. The official Miss Universe Instagram account posted, “A new era begins! Congratulations to Denmark, our 73rd Miss Universe. May your reign inspire and empower women worldwide.”
Beyond her beauty pageant career, Theilvig holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing and works in the jewellery industry, specializing in diamond sales. She also aspires to pursue a law degree, with plans to study at Harvard University. Theilvig is also a former professional dancer who competed in both European and World Championships. Today, she continues to teach dance, sharing her passion with others.
In addition to her career and academic aspirations, Theilvig is an advocate for mental health awareness. A survivor of abuse and trauma from a challenging upbringing, she uses her platform to raise awareness about the importance of mental health and support for those facing similar struggles. Furthermore, she is an animal lover and volunteers at a local animal shelter, showing her commitment to helping those in need.
The Miss Universe 2024 pageant also saw Miss Nigeria, Chidimma Adetshina, named the first runner-up, while Miss Mexico, Maria Fernanda Beltran, secured the second runner-up position.
