“Day 19: Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ Box Office Journey Shows No Slowdown”

Ranbir Kapoor's 'Animal' Roars at Box Office, Nears ₹600-Crore Mark in 19 Days

Ranbir Kapoor’s latest venture, ‘Animal,’ maintains its box office dominance, showcasing an impressive run as it inches closer to the ₹600-crore milestone. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial, known for its gripping father-son narrative, amassed ₹5 crore on its 19th day, escalating its total earnings to ₹522.94 crore, as reported by Sacnilk. This consistent performance follows a remarkable third Monday, solidifying ‘Animal’s success.

Bobby Deol, part of the film’s ensemble cast alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Triptii Dimri, Anil Kapoor, and Shakti Kapoor, lauded Ranbir Kapoor’s demeanor and professionalism. In a conversation with News18, Deol commended Kapoor, referring to him as an “amazing guy” and expressed his admiration, stating, “He’s my favorite actor and he’s the best.”

Reflecting on their collaboration, Deol emphasized the camaraderie shared on set, highlighting Kapoor’s inclusive approach to promotion, despite being a superstar himself. “He gave me a lot of respect,” Deol remarked, underscoring Kapoor’s humility and lack of insecurity, an uncommon trait in the industry.

Deol, portraying antagonist Abrar Haque in the film, praised Kapoor’s performance and their shared chemistry, calling their rapport natural and magical. He expressed admiration for Kapoor’s acting prowess and their mutual family-oriented background, creating a unique bond during the shoot.

However, while Ranbir Kapoor’s performance garnered praise, film critic Saibal Chatterjee’s review for NDTV offered a contrasting perspective, giving ‘Animal’ 1.5 stars. Chatterjee acknowledged Kapoor’s powerful acting, supported by Anil Kapoor, yet criticized the film’s problematic elements, which overshadowed the actors’ efforts.

Despite the divergent opinions, ‘Animal’ continues to draw attention and generate substantial revenue, captivating audiences with its gripping narrative and ensemble cast performances. As it strides toward the ₹600-crore milestone, the film remains a prominent force in the box office landscape.

The contrasting critiques and enthusiastic audience responses indicate the film’s polarizing nature, yet the box office figures validate ‘Animal’s box office prowess, marking it as one of the noteworthy releases in recent times.
