Akshay Kumar’s latest film, “Mission Raniganj,” experienced a slowdown at the box office on its first Monday, earning an estimated ₹1.25 crore. The film had a decent opening weekend but witnessed a drop in collections on Monday. With a total collection of ₹13.85 crore after four days of release, “Mission Raniganj” continues to generate interest among audiences.
On Monday, the film recorded a Hindi occupancy rate of 9.23 percent. It opened on Friday with ₹2.8 crore, followed by collections of ₹4.80 crore on Saturday and ₹5 crore on Sunday. Despite facing competition from other releases, “Mission Raniganj” has performed well at the box office.
To promote the film, Akshay Kumar unveiled the song “Jeetenge” on Monday. Sung by B Praak, the motivational victory song features the singer in the music video. Dr. Kumar Vishwas penned the lyrics, and Arko composed the music.
“Mission Raniganj” also stars Parineeti Chopra and Kumud Mishra. Based on the true story of Jaswant Singh Gill, who led India’s first successful coal mine rescue mission in November 1989, the film is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Ajay Kapoor.
During a press conference, Akshay Kumar praised director Tinu Suresh Desai’s efforts and called “Mission Raniganj” one of his best films. He acknowledged Tinu’s dedication to the screenplay over the past few years, expressing pride in the film’s quality.
As the film’s box office journey continues, audiences await its performance in the coming days.
