Shah Rukh Khan and his wife, Gauri Khan, have been actively participating in the wedding festivities of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. The couple attended the Shubh Vivah and Shubh Aashirvad ceremonies held on Friday and Saturday, respectively. However, they will not be attending the Mangal Utsav (wedding reception) at the Ambani residence, Antilla, today, as they have left for London.
A video shared by a fan club shows Shah Rukh and Gauri at the Kalina airport in Mumbai, preparing to depart for London. In the video, they can be seen exiting a white SUV and entering the airport building. Gauri was dressed in a white top, while Shah Rukh was almost unrecognisable in an orange hoodie.
The couple had returned to Mumbai from London specifically to attend the Shubh Vivah ceremony of Anant and Radhika at the Jio World Convention Centre. Shah Rukh sported a green-coloured pathani suit, while Gauri dazzled in a golden-beige ensemble. During the festivities, Shah Rukh was seen dancing with Nita Ambani, Anant’s mother and Chairperson of the Reliance Foundation. He also performed the iconic “Chaiyya Chaiyya” dance with actors Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
In addition to these performances, Shah Rukh greeted various celebrities at the event, including Rajinikanth, whom he greeted with folded hands, and Sachin Tendulkar, with whom he shook hands. He also showed respect to Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan by touching their feet. On Saturday, Shah Rukh and Gauri, accompanied by their daughter Suhana Khan and Gauri’s mother Savita Chhiber, attended the Shubh Aashirvad ceremony at the same venue.
Adding to the excitement of the wedding festivities, WWE superstar and actor John Cena shared a picture with Shah Rukh from the wedding on X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, “A surreal 24 hours. So grateful for the Ambani family for their unmatched warmth and hospitality. An experience filled with so many unforgettable moments which allowed me to connect with countless new friends, including meeting @iamsrk and being able to tell him personally the positive effect he has had on my life.”
Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly heading to London to shoot for his next film, “King,” directed by Sujoy Ghosh. This crime thriller will mark the first time Shah Rukh will be sharing the screen with his daughter Suhana. The film is being produced by Shah Rukh’s own production house, Red Chillies Entertainment.
