At a recent event hosted by Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Ashneer Grover, the renowned founder of BharatPe and former shark on Shark Tank India, didn’t hold back in expressing his views on the current state of the popular television show. Taking a swipe at the declining ratings of the ongoing season and singling out fellow shark Anupam Mittal, Grover asserted his dominance with a touch of humor.
During his address at the college fest, Grover humorously remarked in Hindi about Mittal’s aging and the absence of the “angry one” from the panel. He quipped, “Mr. Mittal is getting old… The angry one has left, that’s a fact.” However, he clarified that Mittal hadn’t said anything inappropriate, adding, “You all are so cold.” Grover urged the audience to compare the TRP ratings of the previous seasons with the current one to grasp the full picture.
Not stopping there, Grover emphasized that the departed shark from the earlier season was the “GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time), implying his own excellence on the show. He cheekily suggested that while he had left a mark, the current panel was still in the process of auditioning to fill his shoes, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
This isn’t the first instance of Grover poking fun at the ongoing season of Shark Tank India. In November, he had shared a promotional clip of Season 3 with a witty caption, implying that the current season was merely an audition for the next. Grover’s candid remarks have once again sparked conversation among fans of the show.
Shark Tank India, the official adaptation of the popular US show, premiered its third season on SonyLIV this January. Despite the jibes, the show continues to attract attention and engagement from viewers across the country, showcasing entrepreneurial talent and innovation on a grand stage.
