Shweta Sharda, a 23-year-old Mumbai-based talent with roots in Chandigarh, is poised to represent India at the esteemed 72nd Miss Universe pageant in San Salvador, El Salvador. Her journey from Chandigarh to Mumbai has been marked by pursuits in dance and modelling, reflected through appearances in prominent reality shows like Dance India Dance, Dance Deewane, Dance Plus, and even as a choreographer on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Born on May 24, 2000, and raised by a single mother, Sharda relocated to Mumbai at 16 to pursue a career in the modelling industry. Her recent collaboration in the music video “Mast Aankhein” by Jubin Nautiyal and Tulsi Kumar, alongside actor Shantanu Maheshwari, further showcased her versatility.
Having earned her bachelor’s degree from the Indira Gandhi National Open University, Shweta Sharda was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2023 on August 28. During the competition, she clinched titles for Miss Body Beautiful and Miss Talented, emphasizing her multi-faceted abilities.
Expressing her mission to empower girls to chase their dreams, Sharda highlighted in an interview with Femina, “I stand here to inspire everyone and help them chase their dreams fearlessly.” Her enthusiastic approach and determination reflect her belief in overcoming self-doubt and focusing on one’s aspirations.
