Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his family have temporarily vacated their iconic sea-facing bungalow, Mannat, as it undergoes a major renovation. The Khan family, including wife Gauri Khan and children Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, has shifted into a luxurious rented apartment in Mumbai’s upscale Pali Hill area until their beloved home is ready.
Gauri Khan Shares Renovation Update
In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Gauri Khan, who is also an interior designer and entrepreneur, confirmed that renovation work at Mannat is currently in full swing. While she didn’t give a fixed timeline, she mentioned that the revamp is expected to be completed within a year.
The renovation includes a long-proposed extension for which Shah Rukh reportedly had to obtain court permission earlier this year. The revamped version of Mannat is expected to be grander than before, maintaining its status as one of Bollywood’s most iconic celebrity residences.
The Khan Family’s Temporary Home
While the extensive work is being carried out, the Khans have taken up residence in a rented apartment reportedly owned by producer Vashu Bhagnani and leased through a leave-and-license agreement by Bhagnani’s actor son Jackky Bhagnani and producer daughter Deepshika Deshmukh.
The new apartment, located in the plush Puja Casa complex, spans four floors and houses not only the Khan family but also their security detail, personal staff, and even office space for day-to-day operations. According to reports, Shah Rukh is paying approximately ₹24 lakh per month in rent.
Professional Updates
While the family adjusts to their temporary home, their professional commitments continue in full swing. Gauri Khan recently launched her first-ever Gauri Khan Designs Experience Centre in Delhi, expanding her footprint in the luxury design industry.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan and daughter Suhana are working together on their upcoming action-thriller film “King”, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla, and Raghav Juyal in key roles.
Their son Aryan Khan is set to make his highly anticipated directorial debut with the Netflix series “Bads of Bollywood,”** scheduled for release in 2025.
As the family looks forward to returning to a newly transformed Mannat, fans eagerly await the return of their favorite star to his legendary address in Bandra.
