Renowned singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh recently spoke out about the ongoing fake ticket scam affecting his Dil-Luminati Tour. During his concert in Jaipur at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre on Saturday night, he expressed regret to fans who had fallen victim to the scam, clarifying that he and his team were also unaware of the situation.
The Dil-Luminati Tour, which is currently making waves across India, saw Diljit perform for enthusiastic crowds in Delhi prior to the Jaipur concert. However, reports surfaced last week of numerous fans being scammed by counterfeit ticket sellers, raising concerns among concert-goers.
While addressing the audience, Diljit stated, “If anyone has been affected by a ticket scam, I apologize. We are not responsible for this. Authorities are looking into the matter.” He emphasized the importance of purchasing tickets only from authorized sellers, urging fans to be vigilant to avoid such fraudulent activities.
Many fans had complained of being denied entry due to fake tickets, leading to disappointment and frustration. One attendee recounted their experience: “It was a total waste to come here,” highlighting the unfortunate impact of the scam. Another fan shared, “I came here without a ticket and met someone who sold me a fake one. They charged me a lot of money for it.”
The official tour producers, Saregama Live and Ripple Effects Studios, had previously warned fans to buy tickets exclusively from the authorized seller, ZomatoLive. Despite these warnings, incidents of ticket reselling and hoarding continued to emerge, prompting the Jaipur Police to issue advisories about the potential for fake tickets.
Diljit’s heartfelt apology and plea for caution come as the concert series continues to draw attention and excitement, albeit overshadowed by these unfortunate events. As the Dil-Luminati Tour progresses, both organizers and fans remain vigilant against the threat of counterfeit tickets.
