Dulquer Salmaan’s latest release, Lucky Baskhar, is close to reaching the ₹15 crore mark within its initial days at the box office. Directed by Venky Atluri, the crime thriller has earned approximately ₹13.6 crore to date, with a Day 2 collection of ₹6.25 crore across all languages, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk. On its first Friday, the film recorded a strong 43.56% occupancy in Telugu theatres.
Lucky Baskhar presents Dulquer Salmaan as an ordinary bank cashier who dives into a risky investment scheme, hoping to become a millionaire. However, he quickly finds himself caught in a dangerous web of money laundering. The film also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ayesha Khan, Hyper Aadi, P. Sai Kumar, and Ramki in pivotal roles. Produced by Sai Soujanya and S Naga Vamsi, Lucky Baskhar comes under the banners of Fortune Four Cinema, Srikara Studios, and Sithara Entertainments.
Competing with Bollywood titles like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again in northern markets, Lucky Baskhar has managed to carve a niche, especially among Telugu audiences.
In a recent interview, Dulquer Salmaan revealed that a medical condition delayed the film’s shooting. “I don’t like gaps,” he said, explaining that he initially intended to work on multiple projects this year, but health issues interfered. The Lucky Baskhar team was highly supportive, allowing him rest when needed, even though a large set had been erected specifically for the film. “They’d say they don’t want to see me in pain and that we can resume later,” he shared, expressing gratitude for the crew’s understanding.
With solid support from his fans and growing interest in the storyline, Lucky Baskhar seems set for continued success as it approaches the ₹15 crore milestone, promising more engaging performances and suspenseful storytelling for viewers in the coming days.
