Salman Khan, who is currently filming for his upcoming movie Sikandar, has confirmed recent rumors about a rib injury he sustained on set. During an appearance at Bigg Boss 18 on Thursday, Salman revealed to the media that he had broken two ribs. Dressed in a black suit, the actor requested photographers to be cautious due to his injury, saying, “Do pasliyaan tuti hai, aaram se,” which translates to “Two ribs are broken, easily.”
Despite the injury, Salman Khan appears to be on the mend. He has resumed shooting for Sikandar in Mumbai, according to a report by Pinkvilla. Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the film’s production involves constructing sets representing Dharavi and Matunga at an estimated cost of ₹15 crore. After completing the Mumbai schedule, the crew will relocate to Hyderabad for the next phase of filming.
The announcement of Sikandar was made by Salman Khan in April, when he shared a film poster on Instagram, teasing fans about its release. He wrote, “Iss Eid ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ aur ‘Maidaan’ ko dekho aur agli Eid Sikandar se aa kar milo,” encouraging fans to watch other films this Eid and look forward to Sikandar next Eid.
The film stars Rashmika Mandanna, Suniel Shetty, Sathyaraj, Prateik Patil Babbar, Chaitannya Choudhry, and Nawab Shah in significant roles. It is scheduled for release next Eid. Salman Khan was last seen in Tiger 3, where he reprised his role as Avinash Singh Rathore alongside Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi.
