Vedaa Box Office Report: John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh's Film Collects ₹15.5 Crore on Day 5

Director Nikkhil Advani’s action thriller Vedaa, which debuted on August 15, is showing a slow performance at the box office. Despite a strong opening day collection of ₹6.3 crore, the film’s revenue has significantly dipped since its release, with only ₹1.5 crore earned on its fifth day, August 19. This brings the total box office collection to ₹15.5 crore, according to Sacnilk.

Performance and Competition

The film, starring John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh, has faced stiff competition from other major releases, including Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 and Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein. The decline in collections on its first Monday suggests that Vedaa has struggled to maintain its audience interest over the weekend.

John Abraham’s Insights

In a recent podcast appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia’s show, John Abraham emphasized the significance of Vedaa for Indian audiences. He stated, “I think this is a very important film for India. And this is not a marketing plug because Indian men need to understand how to treat their women. That’s why it’s essential to watch this film.” He further elaborated on his character, Abhimanyu, highlighting the role of a man as a protector, stating, “For every woman, a man should be a protector. Abhimanyu is that man.”

Additional Cast and Production

Vedaa also features Tamannaah Bhatia in a significant role. The film is produced by Emmay Entertainment, Zee Studios, and John Abraham Entertainment. Despite the film’s slow start, its thematic focus and performances continue to be discussed in the media and among audiences.
