The action-packed film The GOAT, starring Vijay and directed by Venkat Prabhu, has experienced a significant drop in box office earnings on its eighth day. According to early estimates from Sacnilk.com, the film garnered just over ₹6 crore nett on Thursday, marking its lowest daily collection to date.
Since its release, The GOAT has seen a steady decline in its box office numbers. The film, produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh, and Kalpathi S Suresh under AGS Entertainment, had a strong start with a first-day collection of ₹44 crore. It earned ₹25.5 crore on its second day, followed by ₹33.5 crore on the third day and ₹34 crore on the fourth day. The film’s earnings continued to decline over the following days, with ₹14.75 crore on day five, ₹11 crore on day six, and ₹8.5 crore on day seven.
On day eight, the film’s collection was ₹6.50 crore nett across all languages, bringing the total earnings in India to ₹177.75 crore. The film had an overall Tamil occupancy of 24.15% on Thursday.
The GOAT features Vijay in a dual role, playing both a father and his son. The film also stars Prashanth, Sneha, Prabhudheva, Vaibhav, Ajmal Ameer, and other notable actors. Director Venkat Prabhu has been praised for crafting a story that blends family sentiment, action, humor, and drama, with numerous tributes to notable figures and previous films.
