In a recent interview with Zoom, Sunny Kaushal, the brother of actor Vicky Kaushal, shed light on the decision to implement a no-phones policy at Vicky and Katrina Kaif’s wedding. The intimate ceremony, held in Rajasthan in December 2021, was the subject of much speculation and curiosity.
No-Phones Policy for Enjoyment, Not Privacy
Sunny Kaushal clarified that the no-phones rule was not motivated by concerns over privacy. Instead, it was intended to enhance the enjoyment of the wedding festivities. “We kept a no-phone policy on ground, not because of privacy or anything but because we realized that people were enjoying so much in the moment that none of us needed phones,” Sunny explained. He emphasized that this approach allowed guests to fully immerse themselves in the celebration, fostering genuine connections and interactions among attendees.
The decision proved effective, as Sunny noted that the event facilitated a high level of bonding among friends and relatives, contributing to a memorable and pressure-free experience. “My friends, my relatives, and Katrina’s relatives, everybody bonded so well. We partied and enjoyed so much that we did not realize where those three days went,” he added. Sunny highlighted that the absence of phones created a relaxed atmosphere, free from the pressure to document or display moments.
Vicky Kaushal Addresses Wedding Speculations
In a related note, Vicky Kaushal addressed the bizarre and sensational rumors surrounding his wedding during a 2022 episode of Koffee with Karan. Reports had circulated about the use of drones for security and even claims that the groom would make a grand entry via helicopter. Vicky humorously recounted how these stories led him to request that the wedding ceremony be completed swiftly. “While all these random news were making the rounds, I was just there with the pandit ji saying, jaldi nipta dena please. Ek ghante se jyada nahi,” he recalled.
