According to the latest report on Sacnilk.com, “Munjya” collected an estimated ₹4 crore on its fifth day of release, marking its first Tuesday in theaters. This steady performance indicates the film’s ability to maintain audience interest even on weekdays. The fifth-day collection matches its earnings from the previous day, hinting at a consistent box office run.
With these figures, “Munjya” has accumulated around ₹27.25 crore nett in India, inching closer to the ₹30 crore mark by the end of the week. However, its upcoming challenge lies in the release of Kartik Aaryan’s “Chandu Champion” on Friday, which could impact its earnings in the coming days.
Set in Pune and the Konkan region of Maharashtra, “Munjya” delves into the mythical creature of the same name from Indian folklore. The story revolves around Bittu, portrayed by Abhay Verma, who grapples with the havoc caused by the titular mythical creature. The film is part of Maddock Film’s universe of horror comedies, following in the footsteps of hits like “Stree” (2018), “Roohi” (2021), and “Bhediya” (2022).
