Ajay Devgn’s latest action-packed film, Singham Again, has made a thunderous debut at the box office, earning an impressive ₹43 crore on its opening day. This figure marks the highest collection for any film in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, showcasing the franchise’s continued popularity among audiences.
As per reports from Sacnilk.com, Singham Again collected ₹43.5 crore by Saturday morning, indicating strong viewer turnout across theaters nationwide. The film exhibited robust occupancy rates, with morning shows achieving 39.39% and afternoon shows soaring to 71.90%. Cities like Jaipur, Surat, Mumbai, and Pune recorded occupancy rates between 60-70%, with the Delhi NCR region hosting the most shows at 1,304 and achieving a 50% occupancy rate.
According to Box Office India, Singham Again appears set to outperform Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in Maharashtra, though its opening figures are slightly lower than typical expectations for a Rohit Shetty film. Notably, the release did not involve bulk purchases or discounted tickets, making the initial box office numbers more straightforward to assess.
Singham Again is the third installment in the blockbuster franchise, following the successful releases of Singham in 2011 and Singham Returns in 2014, both of which garnered significant box office success.
The star-studded trailer of Singham Again, featuring not only Ajay Devgn but also Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Ranveer Singh, was released recently, captivating fans with its high-octane action and memorable dialogues.
In this latest installment, Ajay Devgn reprises his role as the formidable Bajirao Singham, now pitted against Arjun Kapoor’s character, symbolizing a modern-day interpretation of the Ramayana theme, focusing on the age-old battle of ‘Good versus Evil’. Kareena Kapoor plays the role of Singham’s wife, while Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar return as Simmba and Sooryavanshi, respectively.
Deepika Padukone joins the ensemble as the new character, Lady Singham, and Tiger Shroff makes his entry as ACP Satya Pattnaik, further expanding the cop universe established by Rohit Shetty.
