Shalini Passi, who recently joined The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives season 3, shared an amusing story about her love life that’s caught everyone’s attention. In an interview with Brut India, Shalini opened up about her marriage to businessman Sanjay Passi, chairman of the Pasco Group, and the unusual way they met.
Shalini recounted the memorable day when she attended a friend’s sister’s wedding, only to be approached by a group of women asking, “Are you married?” and “Are your parents coming to the mehendi ceremony?” When she informed them that her parents would arrive later in the evening, they quickly reported back to their family, saying, “We found the perfect girl for Sanjay bhaiya.” By evening, Sanjay’s family had officially come to meet her, leading to what would become their arranged marriage.
Shalini also shared how Sanjay and his family “gatecrashed” the wedding to meet her. “I had told them that I wanted someone who does not drink, smoke, or gamble because I don’t do the same,” she said, describing how Sanjay met her expectations. “It was really wonderful to be with Sanjay, to meet him and his family. They are just amazing people,” she added, expressing admiration for her husband and his close-knit family.
Shalini’s appearance on The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives marks her debut on the show, joining new cast members Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Kalyani Saha, alongside returning members Maheep Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Bhavana Pandey, and Seema Sajdeh. A well-known art patron, design collector, and fashion figure based in Delhi, Shalini brings her own flair to the series, making her an instant favorite.
