Salman Khan’s action-packed entertainer Sikandar is charging steadily towards the coveted ₹100 crore mark at the domestic box office. On its sixth day (first Friday), the film collected ₹3.75 crore, taking its total to an impressive ₹94 crore in India, as per estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk.
The AR Murugadoss directorial, which hit theatres on March 30, recorded an overall 7.38% occupancy in Hindi on Day 6. Sikandar has been drawing mixed reactions from both audiences and critics, but its strong star power and high-octane action sequences continue to bring in crowds.
Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna’s First On-Screen Pairing
Sikandar marks the first-ever on-screen collaboration between superstar Salman Khan and South star Rashmika Mandanna. While fans have been excited to see the fresh pairing, it also stirred some debate due to their 31-year age gap.
(Translation: “They say there’s a 31-year age gap between me and the heroine. If the heroine and her father are fine with it, why should anyone else have a problem? When she gets married and has a daughter, I’ll act with her too—after getting the mother’s permission.”)
Online Leak Hits the Film
Just hours before its official release, Sikandar suffered a major setback when an HD version of the film was leaked online. Several piracy websites reportedly circulated the film illegally, raising concerns within the industry. Veteran trade analyst Komal Nahta reacted sharply on X (formerly Twitter), calling it the “worst nightmare” for any producer.
Star-Studded Cast and Production
Besides Salman and Rashmika, Sikandar also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. The film has been produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under the banner of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
With the film expected to cross ₹100 crore soon, all eyes are on the weekend collections to see how far Sikandar can go in its theatrical run.
