On the 395th birth anniversary of the legendary Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the makers of the upcoming historical film The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj have unveiled its first-look poster. The film, starring acclaimed actor Rishab Shetty in the titular role, aims to bring to life the story of the fearless warrior and his unwavering pursuit of Swarajya.
The first-look poster, released on the film’s official X account, showcases Rishab Shetty embodying the Maratha ruler’s strength, devotion, and bravery. Along with the poster, the makers wrote, “Jai Bhavani! Jai Shivaji! Har Har Mahadev!! On the 395th birth anniversary of the greatest warrior king, we proudly present the first look, showcasing the strength and devotion of the legendary king who changed the destiny of the entire continent. The highly anticipated The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on January 21, 2027.
Rishab Shetty’s Upcoming Projects
Apart from this historical epic, Rishab Shetty is busy with several other major projects. He will be seen playing Lord Hanuman in Prashanth Varma’s film Jai Hanuman, a sequel to the blockbuster superhero film HanuMan. Additionally, Shetty is also directing and starring in Kantara: Chapter 1, the much-awaited prequel to his critically acclaimed film Kantara. The latter is slated for release on October 2, 2025.
