Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh, recently married to her long-time boyfriend and producer Jackky Bhagnani, delighted her Instagram followers with a glimpse from the set of her new film, “De De Pyaar De 2.” Rakul shared a photo on her Instagram stories where she is seen preparing for her role, holding a script. She captioned the post, “Back to my fav set !! DDPD 2 Begins.”
The sequel to the hit film “De De Pyaar De” was officially announced by T-Series in March, along with the release date. “De De Pyaar De 2 will release on 1st May 2025. The film is directed by Anshul Sharma, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, and Ankur Garg, and written by Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan,” read the announcement.
According to reports, “De De Pyaar De 2” will begin filming in June 2024, following the completion of Ajay Devgn’s ongoing projects, “Singham Again” and “Raid 2.”
Recently, Rakul updated her Instagram with a series of new photos, sharing that she and Jackky have traveled to Bula. The photo series starts with a stunning shot of Rakul in a neon green tank top. The couple also enjoyed a sumptuous dinner, and in one photo, Rakul strikes a pose on a pathway surrounded by lush greenery, looking gorgeous in a backless halter-neck printed dress.
“De De Pyaar De,” the original film, also starred Tabu in a lead role. The story revolves around a 50-year-old divorcee, Ashish (played by Ajay Devgn), who falls for a 26-year-old woman named Ayesha (played by Rakul Preet Singh). Tabu plays Ajay’s ex-wife in the film.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the sequel, especially with the exciting updates shared by Rakul Preet Singh from the sets. “De De Pyaar De 2” promises to bring back the charm and humor of its predecessor, with the added excitement of new twists and turns.
