The Rule continues to soar as the Allu Arjun-starrer crossed the ₹1184 crore mark at the global box office on day 28 of its release. Directed by Sukumar, the film had a stellar opening last month, and its strong run has continued into the new year, with a significant boost from New Year’s Eve celebrations.
As per the latest reports from Sacnilk.com, the film saw an impressive ₹13.1 crore collection on day 29, benefiting from the holiday. This marks a notable rebound after a few days of single-digit collections. The overall tally for the film now stands at ₹1184.65 crore, showing consistent growth even in its fourth week.
The film had a massive opening weekend, raking in ₹725.8 crore, and week two saw an additional ₹264.8 crore in collections. The third week also held strong with ₹129.5 crore in box office revenue.
Pushpa 2 features Allu Arjun in the lead role as Pushpa Raj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna as his wife Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as his adversary, SP Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. Other prominent actors in key roles include Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Rao Ramesh, Dhananjaya, and Ajay.
In addition to its box office success, the film has been in the news recently following a tragic incident at one of its premieres. A stampede during the film’s screening led to the death of a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, and injury to her eight-year-old son. Allu Arjun was arrested in connection with the incident on December 13 and was released on interim bail the following day. The investigation is still ongoing, and authorities are considering further legal action.
As Pushpa 2 continues its record-breaking performance at the box office, fans are eagerly awaiting the announced sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rampage, as the franchise continues to dominate the screens.
