Priyanka Chopra took a break from her busy shooting schedule for the second season of Citadel in London to celebrate Dhanteras with her husband, Nick Jonas, and their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The family’s joyous celebration was highlighted on Priyanka’s Instagram, where she shared a heartwarming glimpse into their festivities.
On Tuesday evening, the actress posted a sweet photo on her Instagram Stories featuring little Malti showcasing her vibrant collection of bangles. The picture depicted Priyanka playfully tugging at Nick’s fingers, while Malti joined them in a prayer, her wrist adorned with colorful bangles. Priyanka captioned the moment: “Happy Dhanteras to all celebrating,” accompanied by folded hands, a red heart, and diya emojis.
The celebration also revealed that Malti is picking up some Hindi, as Priyanka previously shared a video of her daughter attempting to converse in the language with Nick’s help.
Earlier this month, Priyanka was in India promoting her makeup brand, Max Factor. In an interview with Forbes India, she expressed her longing for the singing and dancing that Bollywood films offer. Although she was initially set to star in Jee Le Zaraa, alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif, there have been no recent updates regarding the film’s production.
Priyanka and Nick, who tied the knot in 2018, welcomed their daughter Malti via surrogacy in January 2022. Priyanka’s most recent film appearance was in the American romantic comedy Love Again. Looking ahead, she is set to appear in Heads of State alongside Idris Elba and John Cena, and she will also portray a 19th-century Caribbean female pirate in The Bluff.
