Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is set to make his directorial debut with the web show Stardom, and veteran actor Manoj Pahwa has shared insights into Aryan’s work ethic and demeanor. Pahwa, who stars alongside Aryan in the upcoming series, recently discussed his experiences working with the young director and highlighted the similarities between Aryan and his famous father.
In a recent interview with Hindi Rush, Manoj Pahwa praised Aryan Khan’s dedication and professionalism. He noted, “Aryan is a young and hardworking boy. The process of filming this series was quite long, but it was definitely a lot of fun. I know Shah Rukh works 18-20 hours a day if required. He is a workaholic, and I have seen Aryan work in a similar way too.”
Pahwa also reflected on the similarities between Shah Rukh and Aryan in terms of their personal attributes. He described Shah Rukh as exceptionally respectful and caring, sharing anecdotes about the star’s generosity and hospitality. Pahwa recounted an instance when Aryan had food sent from Shah Rukh’s residence, Mannat, and extended the same courtesy to him. “One day I saw Aryan’s food coming from Mannat and I said I also want it so he started getting it for me too. I used to tell Seema that I ate food from Shah Rukh Khan’s house. It was made by his special chef. We used to have chicken roll, etc. It was a good feeling,” Pahwa shared.
Aryan Khan’s directorial debut Stardom is backed by Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment. The show, which also features Sunny Deol and Mona Singh, wrapped up filming in May 2024. Aryan’s foray into directing is highly anticipated, reflecting his commitment to the craft and his family’s legacy in the film industry.
In addition to his directorial debut, Aryan, along with his father Shah Rukh and younger brother AbRam Khan, has lent his voice to the upcoming film Mufasa: The Lion King. The movie is set to release on December 20, 2024.
