
Loveyapa, starring Khushi Kapoor and Junaid Khan, continues to see a lackluster performance at the box office. On its first Tuesday (Day 5), the film collected ₹50 lakh, bringing its total earnings to ₹5.60 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. The film recorded an overall 8.26% Hindi occupancy on February 11.
Box Office Performance
Despite being a remake of the Tamil hit Love Today, Loveyapa has failed to match expectations. The original, directed by Pradeep Ranganathan, was made on a modest budget of ₹6 crore but went on to collect ₹83.55 crore worldwide. In contrast, Loveyapa was reportedly made on a ₹60 crore budget but has struggled to attract audiences.
About the Film
Directed by Advait Chandan, Loveyapa follows a young couple whose love is put to the test by the girl’s father. He challenges them to swap their phones for 24 hours before marriage, leading to a series of comedic yet dramatic revelations. Apart from the lead pair, the film features Ashutosh Rana, Tanvika Parlikar, Kiku Sharda, Devishi Madaan, and Grusha Kapoor in pivotal roles.

Loveyapa marks the theatrical debut of both Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Junaid, son of Aamir Khan, made his acting debut with the Netflix film Maharaj. Meanwhile, Khushi, daughter of the late legendary actress Sridevi, made her OTT debut with The Archies
