Kunal Kemmu’s debut directorial venture, “Madgaon Express,” continues its journey at the box office, inching closer to the ₹20 crore mark as it enters its thirteenth day of release. The film, starring Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, and Avinash Tiwary in pivotal roles, witnessed a slight dip in collections on its second Wednesday, bringing in ₹0.45 crore domestically, according to Sacnilk. This brings the total earnings of “Madgaon Express” to ₹18.7 crore, as reported.
The box office performance on day 13 marked a decrease compared to its earnings on the previous Tuesday when it amassed ₹0.55 crore. Despite this, the film’s overall reception and steady earnings reflect a positive trend for the comedy-drama.
“Madgaon Express,” released on March 22, is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment. The film follows the story of three childhood friends who embark on a fun-filled trip to Goa, only for their vacation to take an unexpected turn, leading to humorous and dramatic situations.
Nora Fatehi, Chhaya Kadam, and Remo D’Souza also play significant roles in the film, adding depth and diversity to the storyline. Post the film’s release, Nora Fatehi shared her experience of working on “Madgaon Express,” expressing initial nervousness about being judged as merely an “eye candy” by her co-stars.
In an interview with Mashable India, Nora recalled her apprehensions and how they changed after meeting Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, and Avinash Tiwary.
