Kangana Ranaut is making waves with her stylish promotions for her upcoming film, Emergency. The actress recently shared a glimpse of her retro-inspired look on Instagram, capturing attention with her floral saree and checkered blouse.
For the promotional event, Kangana opted for a vintage charm by donning a white floral saree paired with a checkered blouse. The saree, featuring a pink and green rose pattern on an ivory base, also boasts checkered borders, blending traditional and retro elements seamlessly. The outfit, from the Spring Summer 2024 collection of the clothing label Pero, was styled with a pallu draped elegantly over her shoulder.
The checkered blouse, a standout piece, is designed with a collared neckline, faux breast pockets, front button closures, a cropped gathered hem, and quarter-length sleeves with folded cuffs. Kangana complemented the look with gold statement rings, pearl-adorned gold earrings, and minimal makeup. Her beauty look included blush pink eyeshadow, rouged cheeks, mascara, pink lips, feathered brows, and a dewy complexion. A side-parted coiffed bun completed the ensemble, adding a polished finish.
In her Instagram post, Kangana shared her excitement for the film’s release, captioning the photos, “Emergency on 6th September 🇮🇳.” The film, which marks Kangana’s directorial debut, is a period-political drama based on the 1975 Emergency imposed by then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Kangana not only directs but also stars in the film as the politician.
Emergency features an ensemble cast including Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, Shreyas Talpade as Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, Vishak Nair as Sanjay Gandhi, and the late Satish Kaushik as Jagjivan Ram.
