In its eleventh day at the box office, the sci-fi superhero film “HanuMan,” featuring Teja Sajja in the lead, witnessed a slight dip in collections, earning approximately ₹7.5 crore nett in India for all languages. Despite the dip, the film has amassed an impressive total of nearly ₹140 crore in the domestic market.
Directed by Prasanth Varma, “HanuMan” released in theaters on January 12 and has been gaining steady traction among audiences. The film’s week one earnings stood at ₹99.85 crore, with contributions from various language markets – Telugu (₹73.89 crore), Hindi (₹24.5 crore), Tamil (₹78 lakh), Kannada (₹52 lakh), and Malayalam (₹16 lakh).
On the ninth day, the film added ₹14.6 crore to its collection, followed by ₹17.6 crore on the tenth day. As of now, “HanuMan” has successfully collected ₹139.55 crore, showcasing its box office prowess.
The superhero flick also features Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Amritha Aiyer, Raj Deepak Shetty, and Vinay Rai in prominent roles. Set in the fictional village of Anjanadri, “HanuMan” marks the initiation of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU).
Excitingly, director Prasanth Varma, overwhelmed by the love and support received for “HanuMan,” announced a sequel titled “Jai Hanuman” on the auspicious occasion of Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha. Through a post on X, he expressed gratitude and stated, “With gratitude for the immense love and support showered upon #HanuMan from audiences across the globe, I stand at the threshold of a new journey by making a promise to myself! #JaiHanuman Pre-Production Begins on the auspicious day of #RamMandirPranPrathistha @ThePVCU.” The filmmaker shared a first-look poster of the upcoming movie, keeping audiences eagerly anticipating further details.
