Gaurav Khanna Wins India’s First Celebrity MasterChef Title, Nikki Tamboli Named Runner-Up

Actor Gaurav Khanna has emerged victorious in India’s first-ever Celebrity MasterChef, clinching the coveted golden trophy, a cash prize of over ₹20 lakh, and the prestigious chef’s coat. The grand finale of the popular cooking competition aired recently, marking an emotional and celebratory moment for the television star.

The announcement was made by Sony Entertainment Television via Instagram, where they shared, “From the TV screen to the MasterChef title, Gaurav Khanna has done it all! Announcing India’s first Celebrity MasterChef winner!”

Nikki Tamboli was declared the first runner-up, while Tejasswi Prakash secured the third spot as the second runner-up. The competition brought together an ensemble of well-known television personalities, including Dipika Kakar Ibrahim, Abhijeet Sawant, Rajiv Adatia, Faisal Shaikh, and Usha Nadkarni.

The finale episode was judged by celebrity chefs Farah Khan, Vikas Khanna, and Ranveer Brar, with a special appearance by legendary chef Sanjeev Kapoor, who joined in praising Gaurav’s final dish. In an emotional exchange, Kapoor told Gaurav, “Ab tak shayad emotions se bhag kar yahan tak pahuche ho. Aaj se zindagi shuru karo, emotions se jud ke” (Until now, perhaps you ran away from emotions to reach here. From today, start living with emotions).

The judges showered Gaurav with hugs and heartfelt congratulations, making the moment even more special. With this win, Gaurav Khanna adds another feather to his cap, transitioning successfully from the small screen to the culinary spotlight.
