Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has officially announced the much-anticipated third installment of the hit Drishyam franchise. The actor took to his X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday to confirm the news, writing, “The Past Never Stays Silent. Drishyam 3 Confirmed! #Drishyam3.”
Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph Reunite
Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the Drishyam films have been a massive success, with both the 2013 original and its 2022 sequel receiving critical acclaim and commercial success. The psychological thriller revolves around Georgekutty (played by Mohanlal) and his family, who become embroiled in a high-stakes investigation following the mysterious disappearance of a police officer’s son.
Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas, the upcoming Drishyam 3 is expected to delve deeper into Georgekutty’s past and the secrets he has tried to keep buried.
