Ajith Kumar’s latest action thriller, Vidaamuyarchi, continues its steady run at the box office. Released on February 6, 2025, the film has already crossed the ₹50-crore mark in its first week. On its second Friday (February 14), the film collected ₹1.35 crore, bringing its total box office earnings to ₹74.10 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Despite entering its second week, Vidaamuyarchi has maintained a strong hold at the ticket counters. On Day 9, the film registered an overall Tamil occupancy rate of 17.04%, as per reports.
Plot and Cast Details
Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, Vidaamuyarchi follows the gripping story of Arjun (Ajith Kumar) and Kayal (Trisha Krishnan), a married couple on the verge of divorce after 12 years of marriage. Their relationship takes a drastic turn during a vacation in Azerbaijan, where Kayal is abducted by a notorious group. With his wife’s life in jeopardy, Arjun embarks on a dangerous mission to rescue her, facing numerous obstacles along the way.
Apart from Ajith Kumar and Trisha Krishnan, the film also stars Arjun Sarja, Arav, Regina Cassandra, and Vijay Ramya in pivotal roles. The music for Vidaamuyarchi has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander.

Vidaamuyarchi marks Ajith Kumar’s big-screen return after two years. His last film, Thunivu (2023), directed by H. Vinoth, was also an action-packed thriller featuring Manju Warrier and John Kokken.
