
Bollywood’s elite gathered to celebrate the wedding of Ashutosh Gowariker’s son, Konark Gowariker, and Niyati Kanakia, daughter of real estate tycoon Rasesh Babubhai Kanakia of Kanakia Builders. The couple tied the knot in a traditional ceremony on March 2 in a star-studded affair that saw some of the biggest names from the entertainment industry in attendance.

The wedding was graced by Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Genelia D’Souza, Riteish Deshmukh, Vidya Balan, and Farhan Akhtar. Also in attendance were AR Rahman, Sajid Khan, Pooja Hegde, Kiran Rao, Sonali Bendre, and political figures Uddhav Thackeray and Aaditya Thackeray.

He wrote, “Happy to share the blessings of Vrindavan Dham with two beautiful and humble souls, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai. May Krishna’s mercy always be with them!” He also invited them to visit the Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir, the upcoming world’s tallest temple in Vrindavan.
Wedding Festivities
The pre-wedding celebrations kicked off on February 28 with a haldi ceremony, followed by a sangeet night on March 1. The wedding itself was a grand event, with lavish decorations and traditional rituals.

Konark Gowariker is currently working as an assistant director under his father, Ashutosh Gowariker, who is known for his critically acclaimed films like Lagaan, Swades, and Jodhaa Akbar. Meanwhile, Niyati Kanakia hails from a prominent business family and is the daughter of Rasesh Babubhai Kanakia, the owner of Kanakia Builders, one of India’s leading real estate firms.
Ashutosh Gowariker’s Work Front
