Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made headlines once again after winning the Best Actress (Critics) award for Ponniyin Selvan: II at the prestigious South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2024, held in Dubai over the weekend. The event saw a heartwarming moment involving Aishwarya and her daughter Aaradhya, which has now taken social media by storm.
A viral video, shared by numerous fan pages, captures the touching moment when Aishwarya and Aaradhya met Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar at the event. Shiva Rajkumar greeted Aishwarya and congratulated her on her big win. Following this, Aishwarya introduced her daughter Aaradhya to the actor. Aaradhya greeted him respectfully with folded hands and touched his feet in a traditional gesture of respect. Fans were quick to appreciate Aaradhya’s upbringing, with one commenting, “She has taught her daughter such great values.”
Aaradhya, who accompanied her mother to the event, was also spotted capturing moments of Aishwarya’s award-winning moment on her phone. Fan pages dedicated to the actress praised Aaradhya, with one post reading, “The proud daughter, love Aaradhya’s smile here. Beautiful and infectious.”
Prior to the SIIMA event, Aishwarya, along with her mother Brindya Rai and Aaradhya, was seen visiting the GSB Ganpati Pandal. Videos of the trio leaving the venue also circulated online, with Aishwarya dressed in a pink kurta.
Meanwhile, rumors regarding Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan’s marriage have resurfaced in recent months. Speculation about their relationship has been ongoing, particularly after the couple arrived separately at a high-profile wedding in July. The rumors gained more attention when Abhishek Bachchan liked an Instagram post discussing the rise of “grey divorces”—a term used to describe separations later in life.
Aishwarya and Abhishek tied the knot in April 2007 and welcomed their daughter Aaradhya in November 2011. Despite the ongoing speculation, the couple has not made any public statements addressing the divorce rumors.
