Superstar Hrithik Roshan is all set to don the director’s hat for the first time with the highly anticipated Krrish 4, the next installment in his homegrown superhero franchise. According to a report by India Today, the project promises to be Hrithik’s most ambitious yet—with triple roles, time-travel twists, and a reunion with longtime co-star Preity Zinta.
The film’s storyline is reportedly inspired by international hits like Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, bringing together emotional storytelling with grand-scale VFX and high-tech action. Hrithik is expected to play three characters in the film: his iconic superhero Krrish, his genius scientist father Rohit Mehra, and a mysterious new villain. This unique setup hints at an epic battle that spans timelines.
Adding to the excitement, Preity Zinta is likely to return to the franchise, marking a nostalgic reunion for fans of the original Koi… Mil Gaya and Krrish. Other franchise regulars including Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi, and Rekha are also expected to reprise their roles. Actress Nora Fatehi is reportedly in talks to join the cast in a dynamic, action-heavy role.
A source close to the project shared, “The plan is for Krrish to move through different timelines—past and future—to eliminate a major threat. While high on VFX and production value, the film will stay rooted in family emotions and relationships.”
The news of Hrithik’s directorial debut was first confirmed by his father and veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan via Instagram. Sharing a heartfelt post, he wrote, “Duggu, 25 years back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers—Aditya Chopra and myself—to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings.”
Krrish 4 has reportedly gone through multiple script revisions before locking in the final storyline. Hrithik is collaborating with YRF Studios to bring this large-scale vision to life. While his team has yet to officially confirm all the casting and plot details, fans are eagerly awaiting further announcements.
Currently, Hrithik is filming War 2, and production for Krrish 4 is expected to kick off soon after.
